High School Blues

Setting up for my high school prom this past April.

Sweetheart, baby
Have you seen yourself lately?
Thinking what you think
Criticism makes you shrink

High school, gotta fit in
Four years in a pin
It’ll never end
All these scars that won’t mend

You may believe that you’re not cool
But don’t let em intimidate, they’re the fool
If you still don’t believe it
Look back in five years, what you pay for is what you get

Get a mirror, check it out
Get rid of your self-doubt
You are beautiful, believe it
One day you will see it

Be yourself, it’s more than cliche
Love everyone, including yourself
A little man’s price is what you pay
To be great, to motivate someone else
